river locust (amorpha fruticosa) - a sturdy shrub in the legume family, growing up to 12’tall with an upright spreading habit. exceptionally adaptable with gorgeous & fragrant flowers. beneficial to pollinators, especially native bees. native to northern turtle island (north america). useful for preventing erosion. flowers are a rich purple & become seeds beloved to songbirds. good for edges, various soils, wind tolerant, deer tolerant.

currently 1-2' ft tall


** all trees will be sold as bare root saplings in march/april AND oct/nov by pre-order only.

pick-up available in phinneys cove, NS /mi’kma’ki or shipped out by canada post (only in canada)
