diospyros virginiana - native to mid-eastern turtle island, found in open woods, fencerows and old fields. a very adaptable & long lived deciduous tree, growing up to 50 ft tall. flowers in late spring, the fruit is not edible until late fall (after a frost), in which it becomes rich, sweet & custard like in texture & taste.

persimmon need a female x male combination to have fruit that produces seeds, however either will produce fruit. these seedlings are unsexed.

currently 8-12” tall

** all trees will be sold as bare root saplings in march/april AND oct/nov by pre-order only.
pick-up available in phinneys cove, NS /mi’kma’ki or shipped out by canada post (only in canada)
