english walnut (juglans regia) - also called persian walnut. big, stately, long living trees, growing up to 65’ and valued for their timber. easy to process & crack, with large nut meat ( the commercial variety found in supermarkets) produced in abundance and can be prepared a multitude of ways. native to the himalayas. thrives in rich, well-drained soil, and needs full sun. hardiness zone 4-9

*need two trees for optimal pollination

currently 8-12” tall
