kousa (cornus kousa) - a lovely small tree with showy white flowers, native to eastern asia. makes a stunning addition to any yard or gardens. the leaves & flowers are stunning, especially when out together, and the blooms last for awhile. after the flowers, 1-2” pinkish-red very interesting fruits are formed. when run through a food mill, these have the texture of bananas & a very tropical taste. often overlooked as a food crop. but a gorgeous addition to the home, even as an ornamental. one of our favorites.
