prunus mandshurica - a cold hardy fruiting deciduous tree native to north eastern asia where it evolved with cold, harsh winters & short growing seasons. one of the most cold hardy apricots. early, beautiful fragrant & ornamental blossoms, fruit is about 1.5 inches large with yellowish orange flesh & a pit. sweet & tasty, used for fresh eating, preserves and drying. grows to about 25ft tall. prefers loamy to sandy well-drained soils. drought tolerant once established in some siberian traditions, manchurian apricots were planted near the home to protect it from frost spirits. hardiness zone 3-7

*need more than one tree for fruit production

currently 2-3 ft tall

** all trees will be sold as bare root saplings in march/april AND oct/nov by pre-order only.
