salix spp - a mix of yellow, red, green, blue, purple & black basketry willow. you will receive a mix of seasonally available rooted plants (cuttings), which will grow quite easily and quickly. this is a nice choice if you are wanting to establish your own willow for basketry & weaving, or your own willow fence. willow can be pruned quite harshly once established (second year), to promote straight & prolific rods for weaving. basketry willow is similar in growth to other willows, favouring moist or wet soil and is tolerant of almost all soil. will not grow in full shade. grows fast and can reach hights of up to 19ft tall and 13ft wide if left un-pruned. makes an excellent hedgerow
