the rose of sharon (hibiscus syriacus) is a deciduous shrub known for its beautiful, vibrant, trumpet-shaped flowers, which can be white-pink and bloom from summer to fall. it has overwintered well for us here, and reappears each year to dazzle all who witness with gorgeous blooms. the plant itself reaches 8-12 feet at maturity. used in traditional medicine. the flowers care edible and can be used in salads or teas. it thrives in well-drained soil and full sun, tolerating various conditions but prefers moderate moisture.

hardiness zones 5-9

** all plants will be sold as bare root saplings in march/april AND oct/nov by pre-order only.
