prunus cerasifera - yellow cherry plum is native to western asia. producing small, sweet plums similar in size to a large cherry. the tree can grow up to 30ft tall. the flowers are lovely and white-ish pink in late march, and the fruits are yellow and ripe by late august or september. prefers well drained soil, moist soil, but will tolerate clay and a variety of conditions, as well as strong winds. is sometimes used for hedgerows.

hardiness zone 5-8

*these seeds have begun the germination process, and need to stay cold and damp until spring. they can be kept in the fridge with a moist paper towel or sawdust. they can be planted out once the ground has thawed, in pots or direct seeded.
